WHY ARE WE GETTING SNOW BEFORE HALLOWEEN?

We don't like snow in the Spring, but we know it will be gone soon... It is most certainly not welcome in October! Why is it snowing now??? I do not know, but perhaps it is just the way our planet regulates it's temperature, much like our bodies... We are after all both about 80% liquid...
We quite often have strong storms in the Northeast around Halloween. Remember the perfect storm?
